Cancellation Policy

In order to provide every patient with the best quality of care we request a minimum of 48 hours notice for all cancellations. Please contact the main office at 410-964-8346 with any questions or concerns prior to your scheduled appointment. Due to high cost of providing Sclerotherapy, a charge will be made for Sclerotherapy Appointments not kept or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

When possible, MVP uses an automated appointment reminder phone call. Patients may cancel if unable to keep an appointment using this service.

Free Screening Evaluations

For patients interested to find out if they are a candidate for treatment, MVP is pleased to offer free screening assessments. This evaluation is performed by one of our clinical care providers and includes a review of symptoms, medical history, and brief physical examination focused on venous insufficiency in the legs. A brief preliminary ultrasound may also be performed.

At the conclusion of this quick screen, if the patient so elects, a formal medical evaluation including a formal ultrasound evaluation is performed. The formal medical evaluation and ultrasound is covered by medical insurance.

Free Screening Policy

The free quick screen evaluation will consist of an evaluation by a provider who will screen the patient for symptoms and signs of venous disease, just like what we do at the screening events. We may perform a brief ultrasound check of the veins for reflux. The provider will then determine if the patient is or is not a candidate for possible medical treatment. If so, we will then offer to perform a complete evaluation, including a complete physical examination, and a full venous insufficiency ultrasound, at that time. If the patient elects to have formal assessment, including an ultrasound, then they will be billed for a 40 minute evaluation. The provider then will perform a full physical exam, review formal scan findings and discuss the vein treatment plan.
